Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition having excellent flame retardance and suitable as an exterior finishing material of buildings, etc., by using a specific organic polymeric material as a binder, and compounding the binder with aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition contains (A) a binder consisting of an organic polymeric material capable of forming, at normal temperature, a coating film having an elongation of >=500% (e.g. acrylic emulsion) and (B) 100-400pts. wt., based on 100pts.wt. of the component A, of aluminum hydroxide and/or magnesium hydroxide, wherein the volume concentration of the component A in the formed coating film is 35-68%. The objective composition contains preferably further a phosphorus-based flame-retardant, a halogen-based flame-retardant and/or a metal oxide.
