GRAPHIC PRINT SYSTEM OF THERMAL PRINTER

PURPOSE:To improve a printing speed of graphic print by starting printing after a data for one dot line's share is inputted and inputting a data for the next dot line's share in the 2nd buffer memory by utilizing a spare time during printing. CONSTITUTION:A CPU2 reads a graphic data stored in the buffer memory at each group, supplies a group designation address to a group decoder 3 via a group address bus and also a dot print pattern in a group is supplied to a select latch driver 6 and a select driver 7 via the select bus. A buffer memory having a memory capacity for two-dot line's share is provided as the buffer memory. When the print processing is started, the graphic data of the 1st dot line is transferred to the buffer memory at first, and when the transfer for one dot line's share is finished, the print of the 1st dot line is conducted. The transfer of the graphic data of the next dot line is conducted during the idle time of the print processing of the 1st dot line.
