REPAIR WORKING METHOD FOR TANKER

PURPOSE:To repair a tanker at a low cost and in a short time, without exhausting sludge outside an oil tank, by doing fire works, such as cutting or welding, after covering oily sludge which stays in the oil tank, with viscous solution. CONSTITUTION:The inside of an oil tank 1 is washed after the tank 1 is unloaded with crude oil, and combustible gas is exhausted from the tank 1, by starting a ventilating fan 3 set at a ceiling manhole 2. Then, a worker 4 enters in the oil tank 1, and covers the surface of oily sludge 6 which stays on the bottom of the oil tank 1 and/or on reinforcements 5 of it, with viscous solution 10, by using a tank 7, airless pump 8, and a spray gun 9. As the viscous solution, water solution of highmolecular coagulant, such as polyacrylamide polymer or modacrylic polymer, is unsed. In this way, it is not necessary to exhaust the sludge which stays in the oil tank, outside the oil tank, and the tanker can be repaired at a low cost and in a short time.
