Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To pour/supplement water from the radiator side into/to a circulating system by connecting the primary and the secondary sides of a thermostat by means of an auxiliary bypass passage which is provided with an opening/closing valve that is able to open the auxiliary bypass passage when engine cooling water is to be poured into, while the thermostat is closed. CONSTITUTION:A return-port connector pat 12 of a cylinder block 6, which connects an engine 1 to an inlet hose 8, and a water-pump-side flow passage 15 are connected to each other by an auxiliary bypass passage 20. A plug cock 21 is provided at the middle of the bypass passage 20. Rotation of a knob 22 by hand enables the plug cock 21 to be opened or closed at will. With this contrivance, even when a thermostat is closed, cooling water can be poured or supplemented from a radiator side into/to a circulating system on the engine side. |
