Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To improve workability, by providing a ring part in the axial direction of a movable part, which is rotated together with a steering shaft as a unitary body, and providing recognizing parts for detecting a steering angle at the ring part. CONSTITUTION:A movable part 6d has a ring part 6d1. Slits 6d2, which are recognizing parts, are provided along the entire circumference of the ring part 6d1. A gap part 6c1 of a photo-interruptor 6c, which is a signal generating part, is held by the ring part 6d1 in the non-contact state in the direction of the diameter. When a steering wheel 105 is rotated, the slits 6d2 pass the gap part 6c1 of the photo-interruptor 6c, and a steering angle signal is obtained. A steering shaft 100 has an attaching error in the axial direction. Since the size of the width direction of the gap part 6c1 is sufficiently longer than the size of the depth direction, the error in the axial direction of the steering shaft 100 can be sufficiently absorbed. Therefore, the workability in attaching the steering-angle detecting device can be improved.
