Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To minimize influences of bit error by reversing rules of bit arrangement from the MSBs (the most significant bits) to the LSBs (the least significant bits) of code words corresponding to the low band side and the high band side of a band-divided input signal and making LSBs of both adjacent to each other on the boundary between both code words to constitute a data word. CONSTITUTION:An input signal Si is subjected to band division, and the number of bits to be allocated to each band is calculated on a basis of information of signal power or the like of each band, and this number of bits, namely, bit allocating information Ib is inputted to a multiplexing circiut 12 together with band dat B1D and B2D. Band data B1D and B2D are selected as designated by information Ib in the multiplexing circuit 12, and selected data to which information Ib is added is transmitted as transmission data SD to a transmission line 18 in serial. Even if a boundary F is shifted to a position F' because of error of bit allocating information Ib, the LSB disappears only in a code word C1 and another LSB is added only to the essential LSB in a code word C2, and thus, influences of error are small. |
