Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain an absorbent having highly selective absorptive separation capacity, by bringing a solution consisting of silver perchlorate and an aromatic compound into contact with porous imorg. oxide and subsequently removing a free org. solvent. CONSTITUTION:A solution consisting of silver perchlorate and an aromatic compound (e.g., benzene, toluene or xylene) is brought into sufficient contact with porous inorg. oxide, of which the BET surface area is 40-400m /g, pref., 50- 300m /g, such as alumina, titania, silica or silica-magnesia at 40-60 deg.C in inert gas and, subsequently, a free org. solvent is removed under vacuum.
