Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve the circularity precision of a work eccentrically machined beforehand by movably coupling the work with overlapped rectangular holes of clamp plates connected to a pair of sliders fitted to the face plate of a grinder and reliably chucking the work via the rotating centrifugal force. CONSTITUTION:Chucks provided with a pair of clamp plates 23, 24 fitted to a face plate 2 are overlapped by compression coil springs 17, 18 while a main shaft 1 is stopped, sliders 21, 22 approach a center 3 side on the main shaft side, and a center hole can be inserted into the center 3 through the hole section stacked with a work 30. With the work held horizontally, a tail stock is driven to insert a tail stock center 4 into the other end-center hole of the work 30. Next, after supporting the work with the centers 3, 4, the main shaft 1 is rotated, then a centrifugal force larger than the elastic force of the springs 17, 18 is applied to the clamp plates 23, 24, which are slided on the face plate 2 in the opposite radial directions, the overlap section of the rectangular long hole is shrunk to pinch the work 30, thus allowing grinding to high-precision circularity.
