Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:The titled copolymer excellent in water resistance and soluble in an aqueous alkali solution, obtained by copolymerizing an alkyl (meth)acrylate with an alkoxyalkyl (meth)acrylate, acrylic acid, a polyvinyl compound, etc. CONSTITUTION:The titled copolymer is obtained by copolymerizing 15-70wt% alkyl (meth)acrylate having a 1-8C alkyl group (e.g., ethyl acrylate) with 5- 50wt% alkoxyalkyl (meth)acrylate of the formula (wherein R is H or methyl, and n is 0, or 1-3) and/or hydroxyl group-containing (meth)acrylate, 5-30wt% (meth)acrylic acid, 0-5wt% polyvinyl compound (e.g., ethylene glycol diacrylate), and 0-30wt% vinyl compound or/and conjugated diene compound (e.g., isoprene) copolymerizable with the above components.
