Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To make the quality of a long-sized hollow metallic pipe uniform by rotating the pipe in the upright state and cooling the inside of the pipe with water while heating the outside with a high frequency heater so as to keep the temp. gradient in the direction of the thickness of the pipe uniform over the full length. CONSTITUTION:A long-sized hollow metallic pipe 2 is rotated in the upright state. The outside of the pipe 2 is heated with a high frequency heater 9 while cooling the inside with water from nozzles 5. The pipe 2 is heat treated while holding a temp. gradient in the direction of the thickness of the pipe 2, and the temp. gradient is made uniform over the full length of the pipe 2.
