HOT WATER STORAGE TYPE ELECTRIC HOT WATER APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To prevent the wasteful consumption of power by obtaining the quantity of hot water having a predetermined heat quantity by the control due to a heat quantity detection sensor having a plurality of semiconductor elements which detect the temperatures of respective layer within a water storage tank, in the titled hot water storage type electric hot water instrument. CONSTITUTION:The titled hot water storage type electric hot water instrument comprises: the heat quantity detecting sensor (A) constituted by disposing temperature detecting elements A1-An within a hot water storage tank 1, a device (B) for carrying out the setting of the heat quantity, a discrimination circuit (C) for controlling a control circuit (F) of a heat generator 2, and a delay circuit (D). When in the above described hot water storage type hot water instrument, a desired quantity of hot water is set in correspondence to the quantity of hot water used, it is calculated by detecting the heat quantity within the tank, the most adequate time when the power is to be switched ON for the heat generator. When the calculated time is reached, the power supply is started, and when the temperature of hot water reaches an initial set temperature, the power supply is interrupted. Thus, the wasteful use of power can be eliminated.
