FRONT LOADING DISC PLAYER

PURPOSE:To simplify the structure and to provide a lock/release means easy to assemble with respect to a front loading disc player provided with a disc carrying mechanism which carries a disc automatically to a playing position. CONSTITUTION:The lock/release means lockes a container 29 to a tray until the tray 21 reaches a storage position in a player housing 6, and this means releases the lock state of the container 29 to the tray 21 and locks the tray 21 to a supporting member (a transverse chassis 18) when the tray 21 reaches said storage position. This lock/relese means has a very simple constitution consisting of the first recessed part 18d and the second recessed part 34e formed on faces facing each other of said supporting member and a moving member 33, an aperture part 22f provided in a part (projecting part 22e) of the tray 21 which is arranged between said supporting member and the moving member 33, a movable frame which is arranged in said aperture part and can be engaged with said first and second recessed parts, etc.
