Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain a high strength steel for a can top easy to open with improved workability by specifying the amount of C and the amounts of Mn and P as strengthening elements and by finely dispersing cementite. CONSTITUTION:This high strength steel for a can top easy to open consists of 0.13-0.30% C, 0.06-1.0% Mn and 0.025-0.20% P as strengthening elements and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities and contains cementite adjusted to 0.05-0.5mum average grain size. To the steel may be added 0.01-0.05% Nb. Since the basic structure of the steel contains finely dispersed cementite in large quantities, the workability of the steel into a can top and the suitability of the top to easy opening can be improved although the strength of the steel is increased by the added strengthening elements.
