Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To increase the degreasing power of a degreasing soln. contg. an alkali builder, a surfactant and a defoaming agent without deteriorating the antifoaming property by using alkyldimethylamine oxide represented by a specified general formula as one component of the surfactant in the degreasing soln. CONSTITUTION:In a degreasing soln. contg. essentially an alkali builder, a surfactant and a defoaming agent, 0.1-2g/l alkyldimethylamine oxide represented by the formula is used as one component of the surfactant. In the formula, R is one or more 12-22C alkyl groups, constituted mainly of satd. hydrocarbon groups. The resulting degreasing soln. is used in the cleaning of a metallic surface at a low temp., and it has high degreasing power and foams slightly.
