Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To smooth operation of an actuator performing bilateral operation through combination of shape-memory alloy (SMA) and a bias spring by employing two SMA coupled in series while having a slidable coupling shaft. CONSTITUTION:An operating element 3 is pivoted rollably around the body shaft 2 to the intermediate portion of actuator body 1 where the free end of said element 3 will fix one end of bias spring 5 having the other end secured through bias fixing shaft 6 to the left end of body 1 thus to bias the operating element 3 to the left. While one end of first SMA spring 12 having the other end fixed along a slide groove 13 to a slidable shaft 9 is secured to the free end of operating element 3 while one end of second SMA spring 11 having the other end secured through fixed shaft 10 to the right end of body 1 is fixed to said shaft 9. Consequently, the rotary moment to be applied onto the operating element 3 is maximized at anytime resulting in smooth operation.
