DETECTING DEVICE OF REMAINING QUANTITY OF TONER

PURPOSE:To execute a stable detection of a remaining quantity of a toner by a simple constitution, by executing the second detection by a counting means for starting the counting in accordance with a detection of a quantity of a toner. CONSTITUTION:When it is detected that a remaining quantity of a toner has reached a prescribed quantity and a switch 34 is depressed, an output of an OR gate 39 becomes L, a solenoid 17 is energized through a monostable multivibrator 38, and a lock of a copy sheet number counter is released. When copying of a prescribed number of sheets is completed, a switch 33 is depressed through the copy sheet number counter, the second detection for the remaining quantity by which a copiable toner is exhausted is executed, an output of a gate 39 becomes a high level, the monostable multivibrator 38 does not respond to a trigger from a CPU35, the solenoid 17 is de-energized, also in accordance with an output of the switch 33, a copying machine becomes a stop state through the CPU35, and it is displayed. By this simple constitution, the remaining quantity of a toner is detected stably, and generation of waste of a toner is prevented.
