Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To permit easy control of the temp. for starting quick cooling and to simplify an installation by providing a water-cooling device and a post-treating device isolatedly from the atm. to the rear stage of a soaking furnace and using cooling rolls for the rolls contacting with a steel strip. CONSTITUTION:A water spraying device 10 and a post-treating device 11 (a pickling device 11a and a hot water washing device 11b) are provided isolatedly from the atm. to the rear stage of a soaking furnace 1 and are connected to a reheating furnace 2. Sink rolls and deflecting rolls are constituted of cooling rolls 20. Water or treating liquid is filled in the device 10 and the device 11 to accomplish cooling and no water is supplied to the rolls 20 in the case of performing water cooling with such constitution. The water and treating liquid are discharged from the device 10 and the device 11 and the water is passed to the rolls 20 to perform cooling in a dry state in the case of performing roll cooling. The control of the temp. for starting quick cooling is thus made easy and the installation is simplified.
