Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To promote high accurate grinding, by obtaining a distance between lattice points in the radial direction by the prescribed method, in the case of a circular surface plate in which a diamond pellet is glued to the lattice point being the intersection between concentric circles and radial lines equally dividing the periphery of the circle of the upper and the bottom surface plates. CONSTITUTION:A lattice pattern is formed by drawing concentric circles A-D to be ruled on a surface plate and arranging a pellet on points O, C, I crossing with radial lines (a)-(n) equally dividing the surface plate, but a distance between the concentric circles drawn to be ruled on the upper or bottom surface plate, that is, a lattice distance Pi is obtained as a function of radius ri on the surface plate by using any one of the logical expressions I , II, III, IV because uniform wearing can not be expected by geometrically arranging the pellet. Here the distance is shown by the function of the radius ri by showing in the expression hri for wearing height of the pellet in a position of the radius ri on the surface plate while Lri for a contact distance between the pellet in a position of the radius ri and a work. Further the expression shows Wri for a grinding load, received by the pellet in the radius ri, as the function of the radius ri, and Lri is determined by a shape of the work, assignment to a carrier and the radius ri.
