Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To prevent a low temperature vessel of double structure from increasing in size and breaking down, prevent dew condensation on the wall surface of the vessel, and improve the efficiency of measuring operation by flowing constant dry gas to the hollow part of the low temperature vessel. CONSTITUTION:A refrigerant 12 is cooled to prescribed temperature by a cooler 16. A viscometer 13 containing sample liquid is dipped in the refrigerant 12. They are left as they are and a measurement is taken when the sample liquid attains to the temperature of the refrigerant 12. Simultaneously, a pump 9 is driven to perform drying until the dew point is lower the temperature of the refrigernat 12, and while the dry gas whose temperature is higher than that of the outer circumferential gas of the external vessel 1 is flowed from an entrance 5 to the hollow part 3, a measurement is taken repeatedly by as many times as samples. The measurement is taken by observing the sample from outside as shown by an arrow A and detecting the meniscus passing of the sample liquid level in the viscometer 13.
