VARIABLE SPEED DRIVING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To constitute a small-sized, lightweight device at low cost by driving an optical scanning system through a wire, and winding the wire around a mutlistage pulley different in diameter corresponding to respective magnifications, and varying the scanning speed. CONSTITUTION:A linear cam 43 moves by the rotation of a motor 45. An actuator 19 is fitted to the reverse surface of the linear cam 43 and operates position sensors 25 and 26. The linear cam 44, a lens base 18, and a mirror base 11 stop at positions corresponding to selected copy magnification. The wire 39 is moved by the movement of a tension lever 32 which abuts on one cam surface of the linear cam 43, and a pin 20 provided to the lens base 18 slides in the groove part of a changeover arm 101 according to the movement of the lens base 18. A changeover lever 99 moves by the movement of the changeover arm 101 to switch speeds.
