PURPOSE:The titled flat yarn having a pair of dent parts facing each other at the outer peripheral part in the direction of major axis, sandwiching the major axis, a cross-sectional shape asymmetric with respect to minor axis, uneven thickness in the longer direction, a hollow part with high orientation degree, and difference in contraction in the cross-sectional direction and in the longer direction. CONSTITUTION:A homopolymer (e.g., polyethylene terephthalate, etc.) is melted, extruded from a spinneret consisting of the hollow hole 1, the hole 2 for collapsed part and the slit 3, spun, and drawn to give the desired filament comprising flat constituent filaments, eccentric hollow filament having uneven flatness in the longer direction having a pair of dent parts which face each other at the outer peripheral part in the direction of major axis and sandwich the major axis, having a cross-sectional shape asymmetric with respect to minor axis existing in the dent parts, wherein the hollow part exists in a side where a straight line parallel to the minor axis becomes the maximum in the filament section, and orientation degree of part existing in the hollow part divided by the mirror axis is higher than that of collapsed part neighboring the part existing in the hollow part.
