Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To reduce an outer surface of a hermetically sealed vessel in a way of miniaturization in a compressor as well as to make a temperature rise preventable, by covering the outer surface of the said vessel with such a covering material as being large in emissivity, while increasing a heat transmission value per unit area to be heat- transferred to the outside from the outer surface. CONSTITUTION:An outer surface of a hermetically sealed vessel 2 is covered with a covering material 5 which is large in emissivity and has such a radiating characteristic as making radiation come into a peak at a zone of 3mu-8mu in the wavelength of a radiant ray and radiates much radiant rays. As for heat of the inside of an enclosed compressor 1, since an inner surface of the vessel 2 is high temperature, while the outer surface is low as being opposed to air, heat transmission to air from the outer surface of the vessel 2 occurs via the covering material 5 whereby the air contacted to the vessel 2 is made into natural convection. From the covering materal 5 now coming to high temperature, radiant rays are radiated, and a heat value is given out and heat transmission takes place simultaneously. Since the covering material 5 is large in emissivity, transmission per unit area is also able to glow large, thus the outer surface of the vessel 2 is reduced in area in miniaturization of the compressor and, what is more, a temperature rise is thus preventable.
