WATER-BASED STRIPPABLE PAINT

PURPOSE:To provide the titled paint giving a beautiful coating film which neither causes foaming nor forms pinhole and can be easily stripped, by mixing two kinds of acrylic emulsions contg. different acrylic resins each having a specified Tg to obtain an acrylic resin of a specified Tg. CONSTITUTION:A water paint is composed of an acrylic emulsion (III) wherein the Tg of an acrylic resin (III) constituting the emulsion (III) is -10-+10 deg.C, obtd. by mixing (A) 90-30pts.wt. acrylic emulsion ( I ) in which acrylonitrile is used in a quantity of 35-50wt% based on the entire quantity of monomers, the Tg of an acrylic resin ( I ) prepd. by copolymerization is -25-+10 deg.C and a water-soluble high-molecular material as protective colloid is used in a quantity of 0.01-5wt% based on the entire quantity of the monomers in carrying out the copolymerization by emulsion polymn. with (B) 10-70pts.wt. acrylic emulsion (II) in which acrylonitrile is used in a quantity of 15-35wt% based on the entire quantity of monomers, the Tg of an acrylic resin (II) prepd. by copolymerization is -15-+20 deg.C and the addition of protective colloid is carried out in a similar manner to that described in the above (A) in carrying out the copolymerization.
