Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To improve the performance in separating and sorting nonmagnetic metals in wastes by providing in parallel two linear motors or two sets of linear motors at each stage, and suspending a curtain in the transporting direction of the wastes on a trough covering said linear motors. CONSTITUTION:Linear motors 4d, 4e, and 4f are provided in parallel respectively in the neighborhood of linear motors 4a, 4b, and 4c, and the linear motors of each set are arranged so that the directions of the moving magnetic field may be symmetrical in the outward direction with respect to the center axis. A curtain 9 is provided in the transporting direction of the wastes on a trough 5 covering the linear motors to prevent the recovery of nonmetals along with nonmagnetic metals. The nonmagnetic metals such as aluminum cans 8 sweep up the curtain 9, moved to the recovery side as shown by 8a, and recovered. Nonmetals such as glass are moved in the direction A, and recovered. Consequently, nonmagnetic metals such as aluminum can be separated and recovered in increased purity. |
