Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:The titled melting furnace capable of heating the whole furnace equally in good heat efficiency, regulating easily a flow rate of extrusion, arranging vertically plural laminar electrodes along both opposing side walls near to the bottom of the furnace, covering an extrusion nozzle with a work coil. CONSTITUTION:The laminar electrodes 16 such as platinum, etc. are deeply inserted along both opposing side walls of the melting tank 11 near to the bottom of furnace. The extrusion nozzle 17 connecting to the bottom of furnace is set, and covered with the work coil 18. A glass raw material and cullet are fed from the feed opening 13 for raw material of the upper part structure 12 to the furnace, heated by the resistance heating element 14 and directly heated by the laminar electrodes 16, and the melted glass 15 is sufficiently melted near to the bottom of the furnace. After the melted glass 15 is made clear, it is taken out from the extrusion nozzle 17. Temperature is controlled by regulating high-frequency electric current made to flow through the work coil 18 covering the extrusion nozzle 17, and a flow rate of the extruded glass is adjusted.
