COPYING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To load easily a photosensitive sheet to a drum without scraping a developer by providing a means which inserts a plate material into the space between the drum and a tuft part of the developer of a developing device. CONSTITUTION:In case that papers are removed at a jam time or a separate unit of a copying machine body is opened for the purpose of replacing a photosensitive sheet, side plates 1 and 1' are turned and are set to the inclined state, and a sliding plate 14 reaches a position distant from a projecting part 16 of a bottom plate 19, and therefore, the sliding plate 14 is moved downward by its dead weight, and a wire 8, a sheet metal 9, and a protective plate 10 fall down. Simultaneously, a developing device body 3 is turned in the direction of an arrow A with a shaft 4 as the pivot by its dead weight, and therefore, a space having a certain width is generated between a drum 17 and the developing device body 3, and the protective plate 10 is inserted into this space. Then, a photosensitive sheet 21 is inserted from the side of a side plate 2 to the side of a side plate 1 opposite to it so that it is wound around the outside circumference of the drum 17. In this case, since the protective plate 10 shields to the drum 17 of a tuft part 18 of the developer of the developing device 3, the tuft part 18 is not brought into contact with the inserted photosensitive sheet 21.
