Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To obtain efficiently a high-quality beryl single crystal by using a ceramic material obtained from alkoxide as a matrix for synthesizing artificially the beryl single crystal. CONSTITUTION:A sol obtained by hydrolyzing alkoxides of Be, Si, and Al is mixed in a sol stae so that the composition may be regulated to 3BeO, Al2O3, 6SiO2, and dehydrated. The obtained sol is sintered, and crushed to obtain a matrix 3 as a starting material. The matrix 3 is placed at the bottom part of a growth vessel 1 made of platinum, and a flux 4 which is melted previously is charged thereon. Then a rectangular parallelopipedic seed crystal 5 is thrown in through a platinum wire 6, and a beryl single crystal is grown on the surface of the seed crystal 5. |
