Zusammenfassung:A ceramic alumina/zirconia powder containing 10-25% by weight of zirconia consisting of 10-55% by volume of a monoclinic phase and 45-90% by volume of a tetragonal phase and not more than 4 mol % of hafnium oxide, as well as 75-90% by weight of alumina consisting of a delta -phase and a theta -phase, and having no alpha -phase, the powder having a two-phase structure in which the zirconia phase is dispersed in the alumina phase, and an average particle size of not more than 1000 A, gives, on compression and calcination at 800-1250 DEG C, sintered products having an outstanding density and bending strength.
