EXAMPLE:3-(4-Methoxyphenyl)-1-methylindeno[1,2-c]pyrazol-4-(2H)-one. USE:Medicine. It has low toxicity and exhibits strong carcinostatic or antilipemic activity. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be produced in one step, by reacting the corresponding 2-acyl-1,3-indanedione with methylhydrazine in a solvent such as ethanol in the presence of a catalytic amount of p-toluenesulfonic acid, etc.
