HEAD ADJUSTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To decrease the change in the depressing pressure of a head during the position adjustment of an upper head and also to attain highly accurate adjustment in a short time by providing a minute moving device rotating a rotating member supporting the upper head and a device moving minutely a support supporting the rotating member in the radial direction and tangential direction of a magnetic disc. CONSTITUTION:The rotating member 34 is locked to an adjusting projection 32 with its base and via a locking member 36 and a rotating shaft 38 is fixed to the tip. The rotating center 39 of the rotary shaft 38 is given around the center of a read/write gap of the upper head 10. The support member 40 supports the rotating shaft 38 freely rotatably and is fitted to a vertical minute moving device 46, which is fixed to a horizontal minute moving stand 48 and minutely adjusted in the directions of arrows A, B by using minute adjusting screws 50, 52. Moreover, the support member 40 is minutely moved in vertical direction by a vertical minute adjusting screw 47 of the device 46. The tip of the adjusting member 42 is fixed to one end of the rotating shaft 38 and rotated minutely around the turning shaft 38 by the minute adjusting device 44 fitted to the support member 40.
