Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain highly concentrated coal-water slurry easy to use as fuel, with antifreezing capability in such operations as pumping, storage, combustion, etc., by incorporating specific amount of an anti-freeze in a slurry made up of ground coal, water and surfactant. CONSTITUTION:The objective slurry can be obtained by incorporating (A) coal- water slurry made up of ground coal, water and surfactant with (B) 0-27wt%, based on the final slurry, of an anti-freeze (0-17wt%, 0-23wt%, and 0-27wt% for methanol, ethylene glycol and glycerin, respectively). For example, in order to achieve -40 deg.C in the freezing point of slurry containing 60-75wt% of coal, tha anti-freeze concentrations required will be 10-17wt%, 14-23wt% and 16- 27wt%, for methanol, ethylene glycol and glycerin, respectively.
