ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE BODY

PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body low in residual potential, freed of background stains, and capable of forming a high-quality copied image by one of specified type of transition metals and aluminum compds. of specified types, such as alkoxide and chelate types, in an electrostatic charge generating layer contg. a charge-generating pigment. CONSTITUTION:An electrophotographic sensitive body low in residual potential and freed of background stains and capable of forming a superior copied image is obtained by incorporating >= one kind selected out of transition metals (e.g., Ti, Zr, and V), and Al compds. of alkoxide, aryloxide, acylate, chelate types, and combinations of any of them in an amt. of 0.001-10wt% in a coated type charge-generating layer contg. an org. pigment as a charge-generating material and formed on a conductive substrate, and thus forming a laminated type photosensitive layer together with a charge transfer layer on the conductive substrate.
