PROCESS FOR FIXING END PART OF GAS SEPARATION MODULE

PURPOSE:To provide an inexpensive and convenient fixing process of end parts of a module by injecting a liquid curable sealant from openings of a multitubular wall by providing a bundle of tubes comprising a porous material for gas separation arranged to the inside of an external tube provided vertically on a base having grooves or projections. CONSTITUTION:An external pipe 11 having openings at both ends are erected vertically on a bottom base 16 having plural lines of projection 18, and many numbers of bundled pipes 12 made of a porous material with thin wiry rings on the outer periphery are inserted into the external pipe 11, and the bottom ends of the pipe 12 are allowed to contact with the projected parts 18 of the base. Then, a liquid curable sealant 15 is injected from an opening 13a provided on a multitubular wall into the bottom of the external pipe. The sealant is diffused into all spaces in the bottom part of the module through grooves between the projected part 18 and fills the space. The sealant is then allowed to stand and solidify, and the base is removed finally.
