Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:A composition useful for the production of a colored polyethylene article excellent in weather esistance, obtained by adding a benzophenone ultraviolet ray absorber and a hindered amine ultraviolet ray absorber to a polyethylene resin containing an antioxidant and a colorant. CONSTITUTION:A benzophenone ultraviolet ray absrober and a hindered amine ultraviolet ray absorber (in a total amount of 0.1-2.0wt%) are added to a polyethylene resin containing an antioxidant and a colorant. Examples of the benzophenone absorbers include 2-hydroxy-4-n-octoxybenzophenone, 2,2'-dihydroxy-4- methoxybenzophenone, etc. Examples of the hindered amine absorbers include bis(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidine) sebacate. When the total amounts of the ultraviolet ray absorbers is below 0.1wt%, the improvement in weather resistance is insufficient. When this total is above 20.wt%, the effect of absorbing ultraviolet rays can not be increased very much.
