ADJUSTING MECHANISM FOR TIMING OF FORM FRONT END

PURPOSE:To adjust the front end of an image on a photosensitive drum to the front end of a form accurately by detecting the form reaching a prescribed position and stopping a register roller, and further detecting it reaching the front end position of original scanning exposure and driving the register roll again. CONSTITUTION:A form front end timing adjusting mechanism consists of a detection switch 61, the register roller 53, a register roller driving part, and a detection part 63 which detects the feed extent of the form P by the register roller 53. The detection part 63 turns on by detecting the front end part of the form P being sent from the register roller 53 by prescribed distance. Then, power transmission to the register roll 53 is cut off and the feed of the form P is stopped temporarily. Then, an optical system 2 moves and when it is positioned at the front end of the scanning exposure of the original, a detection switch 61 sends an on signal to drive the register roller 53 again.
