POSITION CALCULATING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To exercise control roughly or finely over the movement of a cursor by using a position shift amount converting means which varies the ratio between the shift amount of an input position and that of a cursor position. CONSTITUTION:A position shift amount converting means 3 can convert the information on the input position shift amount into a cursor shift amount on a real screen in an optional ratio. Therefore it is possible to set a 1:1 conversion ratio so that a cursor moves on the screen by a shift amount exactly equal to the physical shift amount of a mouth serving as a kind of an input device 2. It is also possible to set the conversion ratio at 1:2 or 1:1/2 so that the cursor moves by a double or 1/2 physical shift amount of the mouth respectively. Thus the conversion ratio can be set optionally to exercise control roughly or finely over the cursor on the screen. This contributes to a high-speed shift of the cursor.
