Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To facilitate the mounting of a transmission device on a compact automobile, by making a motive power cutoff unit of a motive power cutoff clutch and a servomechanism for engaging and disengaging a high gear clutch and the motive power cutoff clutch. CONSTITUTION:A motive power cutoff clutch 13 comprises a cylindrical clutch plate case 134, a clutch drum 137, a clutch disk wheel 139, plural clutch plates 141, and a clutch disk 143. A motive power cutoff unit is made of the clutch 13 and a servomechanism 19, which comprises a connecting rod 191, a push lever 192, a bearing case 194, a sliding sleeve 196, a diaphragm spring 197 and a push ring 199 and functions to engage and disengage a high gear clutch 15 and the motive power cutoff clutch 13. As a result, a transmission device is made compact and its axial dimension is shortened, so that the mounting of the device on a compact automobile is facilitated.
