Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prepare a mixed coal/petroleum fuel with high coal concn. by heat- treating raw material coal for improvement of quality, pulverizing it and adding heavy fuel oil to it, followed by conditioning of slurry. CONSTITUTION:Coal crushed in a crusher 1 is led into quality improving equipment 2 for heat treatment at 40-400 deg.C in the presence of an oxygen-contg. gas such as air and waste gas of combustion. Heavy fuel oil and, when necessary, 0.0001-2.0wt% (based on the coal) additive are added to the modified coal. The mixt. is conditioned to a coal concn. of about 40-80wt% and is fed into a grinder 3 for pulverization to such an extent that particles smaller than 200 mesh may account for 30wt% or higher. The resultant mixed coal/petroleum fuel is led into a mixer 4 and, when necessary, an additive is added to produce a mixed coal/petroleum fuel with improved stability.
