Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To improve refractive index, dyeability, physical and chemical properties, etc. by copolymerizing specific diallyl phthalate and phenoxy allylate. CONSTITUTION:The diallyl phthalate, diallyl isophthalate or diallyl terephthalate monomers expressed by the general formula ( I ) [in which X is halogen except fluorine, (a) is 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4 integer] and the phenoxy allylate monomer expressed by the general formula (II) [in which X is halogen except fluorine, (b) is 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 integer] are copolymerized in the presence of a radial polymn. initiator. Then the plastic lens has >=1.57 refractive index and excellent dyeability and impact resistance and is therefore suitable for spectacles.
