CONSTITUTION:A chelate resin of iminocarboxylate type or the like is treated with an aqueous soln. having the same concn. and pH as an alkaline aqueous electrolyte soln. contg. Cr. The electrolyte soln. contg. Cr compounds is passed through the treated chelate resin to remove the Cr compounds contained in the soln. by a very small amount. By this method the electrolyte soln. can be easily reused. A change in overvoltage during electrolysis is prevented by removing the Cr compounds, so heavy water can be efficiently concentrated. |
