ARTIFICIAL FAULT GENERATOR

PURPOSE:To perform fine fault control corresponding to stages by adding a mechanism for generating an artificial fault for every stage of a pipeline. CONSTITUTION:When an artificial fault code is inputted to a decoder 6, the decoder 6 decodes it to send out the decoded information through one of signal lines 501-505, informing a specified stage of the generation of the artificial fault. The informed stage side sets one of indicators 301-305 through one of OR gates 1-5 corresponding to signal lines 501-505. The output of the indicator is sent out to a fault processing part through one of signal lines 401-405. Consequently, an external trouble processing part recognizes the stage corresponding to the stage where the fault occurs and processing the fault of the informed stage.
