ACCUMULATOR FOR BAND STEEL

PURPOSE:To make an accumulator small in size and to reduce its installation cost, by winding a band steel into plural layers around the outer circumferences of a pair of large diametral rolls and increasing the amount of band steel occupying in the volume of the accumulator in an accumulator for band steel. CONSTITUTION:A band steel 11 passes through tension bridles 12 and runs on separator rolls 14b used for preventing a contact between upper and lower band steel and along a group of small diametral rolls 20b arranged around the outside of a large diametral roll 16 and moves along the outer circumference of a large diametral roll 15 after running on separator rolls 14d and transfers to the roll 16 again. Next, the band steel 11 runs on separator rolls 14c arranged at the outside of the roll 16 and passes in sequence a group of small diametral rolls 20c, separator rolls 14e, a group of small diametral rolls 20a, separator rolls 14a, a deflector roll 17 and tension bridles 13, and is sent to the next stage.
