FLAT MAGNET

PURPOSE:To enhance the performance of a rotary electric machine by suppressing the production of leakage magnetic flux by employing a doughnut-shaped flat magnet. CONSTITUTION:A doughnut-shaped flat magnet is formed in a doughnut shape of ferrite or rare earth metal magnetic material, and formed in multipoles of sector-shaped magnets which are divided into respective poles. Crystalline grains 2 are inclined toward the center in a circumferential direction of the poles. Since the grains 2 are magnetized in the same magnetization susceptible axis direction as the orienting direction of the grains 2, the magnetic fluxes of the poles are respectively concentrated toward the magnetization susceptible axis operating spaces.
