EMERGENCY CIRCUIT ACCEPTANCE SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To perform acceptance processing similar to that by an acceptance exchange even if the acceptance exchange becomes abnormal by processing an incoming call to an emergency call at an auxiliary attendant board when abnormality of the incoming call is detected. CONSTITUTION:When incoming calls from emergency circuits 3 cause congestion and the attendant board 7 becomes unable to accept them speedily, the operator at the auxiliary attendant board 10 switches the emergency circuits 3 from an acceptance trunk 5 to the auxiliary attendant board 10. Then, the operator performs acceptance processing such as answering, reorigination, holding, and disconnection with regard to the emergency circuit 3 led in through an auxiliary acceptance trunk 9, link 13, accepting circuit 14, and speaking circuit 15 similarly to that by the attendant board 7. If a fault occurs to the acceptance exchange, a central controller 6 switches the emergency circuits 3 to the auxiliary attendant board 10 and performs processing similarly to the attendant board 7.
