VIDEO SIGNAL RECORDER

PURPOSE:To obtain a signal which shows the track of the end part by recording in time division the 1st and 2nd pilot signals at the end part of the 1st information and shifting left or right the relation between the frequencies of the 2nd pilot signal and a reference pilot signal during composite photographing. CONSTITUTION:In a section Y4 corresponding to a joint track T4 at the end of the 1st information, a switch control circuit 41 transmits alternately pilot signals of frequencies f4 and f2 in time division through a switch circuit 17 in the form of a reference pilot signal S11 and records it to the track T4. The correct tracking is secured in a section having the same frequency as f1, f2 and f3 of a reproduced pilot signal S2 among the signals S11 in sections Y1-Y3. Thus the detection output S13 and S14 of a forming part 31 are set at level 0; while a left shift is produced in the sections having f2, f3 and f4. Then the outputs S13 and S14 rises alternately up to their peak levels. Therefore, the output S21 has the positive maximum value at a discriminating part 33. However, the f1 showing a right shift to the f2 of the signal S2 exists in a section T4. Thus the output S21 has the negative minimum value.
