Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:The titled apparatus designed to extinguish burning fibers rapidly in a heat treatment chamber thereof for flameproofing the fibers by opening slits of a gangway plate equipped above the upper rolls on the outside of the chamber and water discharge valves for water injection nozzles. CONSTITUTION:A heat treatment apparatus designed to transfer a yarn continuously by a group of rolls 2, 2', 3, 3' and 3'' on the outisde of a heat treatment chamber 1 thereof for oxidizing the yarn. A gangway plate 6 with openable and closable slits and water injection nozzles 8 and 8' through water discharge valves 7 and 7' are equipped above the upper rolls 2 and 2'. The above-mentioned apparatus permits immediate water injecting and fire extinguishing on an alarm or a signal informing any burning trouble in the chamber 1.
