Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To reduce number of times of jumping of a stylus on a disk and to prevent the disk from damaging by providing a mechanism that increases speed of lowering of movable part of a stylus raising and lowering device after a cantilever is separated from a lifter lever. CONSTITUTION:A permanent magnet 18 is fixed to a fitting frame 1 and the movable part is made up of an electromagnet consisting of a supporting piece 10, a magnetic core 19 and a coil 20. Upward force is given to the movable part 2 by a spring 11. The highest position of the movable part 2 is determined by a stopper 23 of the fitting frame 1. When energized, the downward force is always given to the magnetic core 19. In the above constitution, the notch of a pickup arm chassis is abolished, and the lowering speed of movable part of the stylus raising and lowering device is increased by attracting force acting between the magnetic core 19 magnetized by a magnetic field generated in the coil and the pickup arm chassis 14.
