Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To protect an optical disk from the dust and flaws by forming a hard transparent thin film on the surface of the disk by applying a coating solution containing mainly a monomer having an unsaturated double connection which is hardened by an active energy beam on the surface of a base material. CONSTITUTION:A coating solution containing mainly a monomer having an unsaturated double connection which is hardened by an active energy beam is applied to the information surface where information signals are recorded in the form of a geometric change or the surface of a base material set opposite to said information surface on the base material. Then an active energy beam is irradiated when necessary to the coated surface of the base material, and a layer containing a prepolymer containing the unsaturated double connection which is hardened by the active energy beam is formed on the base material. Then the active energy beam is irradiated to the base material to obtain a protecting layer. Then a layer containing a prepolymer having the unsaturated double connection which is hardened by the active energy beam which is previously provided to a film which transmits the active energy beam is press-fixed or heat press-fixed as an information or a protecting layer. The active energy beam is irradiated from said film side to form a protecting film. Then the film is torn off.
