PURGING METHOD FOR AUTOMATED INJECTION MOLDING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform completely automated purging in a short time by preparing a container for purging of which external dimension is substantially the same as that of a metal mold. CONSTITUTION:A container for purging 23 is formed into the same shape of metal molds 22a-22d. As preceding molding work approaches completion in accordance with processes determined by a main control device 16, the next metal mold 22b is transferred to a metal mold preheating yard 12 from a metal mold storage yeard 13 by a carry cart 8. Upon completion of the preceding work, the purging container 23 is placed on the carry cart 8 and it is moved to the side of a metal mold mount unit of an injection molding machine 1, and a metal mold 22a is replaced with the purging container 23 and purging is performed. As purging work approaches its completion, the preheated metal mold 22b is moved by the carry cart 8, the container 23 is removed and the metal mold 22b is mounted on the molding machine 1. By the above operations, it is made possible to completely automate purging work.
