CONTINUOUS MEASURING DEVICE OF SPECIFIC RESISTANCE

PURPOSE:To enable continuous measurement of specific resistance during the manufacture of a polymer by measuring the specific resistance by means of two sheets of electrode plates which are disposed in parallel in the flow direction of the polymer. CONSTITUTION:A branch pipe 2 for discharging a polymer is provided to a piping 1 for taking out the polymer, and a part of the polymer passing the piping 1 is conducted by a metering pump 3 into a flow type cell 4 provided with a measurement device for specific resistance. The specific resistance of the polymer is measured in said cell. The cell 4 is attached, via a flange 11, to a part of the branch pipe 2, and is attached with two sheets of platinum electrode plates 9 for measuring specific resistance on a ceramic support 8 so as to parallel with the flow direction of the polymer. If the above-mentioned device is constituted in such a way, the specific resistance of the polymer can be measured continuously without stagnating the polymer and therefore the specific resistance intrinsic to the polymer is exactly and quickly measured without deteriorating the polymer on account of the measurement.
